The MCU's first animated series – What If.? – is like Loki. Loki, meanwhile, is technically set after the events of The Avengers, but in an alternate timeline – so we'd advise watching it after Avengers: Endgame. WandaVision takes place a few weeks after Endgame, while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set six months after Endgame – so both shows take place before Spider-Man: Far From Home.

With the Marvel TV shows also fitting around the movies since Avengers: Endgame, we've included them as well. Without an exact Marvel timeline breakdown from the studio itself, it's hard to pinpoint where these MCU movies fit around one another. We've done our best with the knowledge available to us anyway. For example, Black Widow, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Black Panther and Doctor Strange all occur around the same time period. But, to prevent any further confusion about Eternals' place on the MCU timeline, we've slotted it in just before No Way Home. You'll start with Captain America's origin story in WWII and end with Spider-Man: No Way Home, which technically occurs in 2023.Įternals makes things tricky as there are flashbacks to time periods that precede Captain America's creation. This means you'll be watching the Marvel movies in the order of the year that they take place in. Let's start with the MCU movies in chronological order. This movie will entertain and make you think. Like the best horror flicks, Get Out borrows a little from movie history while forging ahead with a unique perspective. Peele employs suspense and tension throughout most of the movie - with some comedy on the side, of course - and then lowers the hammer with a finale that's demented fun. The movie's all about a young black guy who heads off with his white girlfriend to meet her oh-so-progressive family, and realizes that something is very wrong with the racial divide in this sleepy little town. Why it's great: Get Out tackles all sorts of uncomfortable social issues, and does so in a playfully freaky, and frequently insightful, fashion. Cast: Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford
